About Me:
I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1961. My family and I moved to The Bronx in 1965, and it was here that I began to take an active interest in drawing. Being an avid comic-book reader as a youngster, some of my early influences came from such artists as John Romita Sr., Steve Ditko, and Jim Steranko. During the 1970's and early 80's, I tried in vain to get work at both Marvel and DC Comics. Finally, in 1982, I decided to radically change my style of art from the comic-book 'Superhero' type of art that I had been doing to a more realistic fine-art type, utilizing the pen & ink pointillism technique. Since then, I have exhibited my art throughout the NYC/Long Island area, and have been a part of renown art groups such as The Long Island Black Artists Association, The Huntington Township Art League, and The Harlem StreetGallery.
