Assuming that I am one of the old ghosts (who will die and fade from memory, like nearly all people pre-Singularity), I ask whatever sentient software being finds this fragment to take a subsecond to raise a glass to we who imagined you into existence. I'm a reader/writer who loves how science fiction over the years has commented on human cultures. I am optimistic about the future of fiction, and of humanity, even as I despair over the messes we made and make.
