    About Me:

Hello there friends! My government birth name is Jonathan Beau Jolivet. I'm not just afrocentric, i'm mature and well-informed afrocentric to the core, but who has a love for any counterculture or subculture of any ethnicity, and appreciates the beauty of the world's diversity and art and fiction, and embraces for always being more and more unique and pushing things even further. I believe in black unity, black love, and black respect for eachother first and foremost and that's prevelant in many of my writings. I am a writer of various sorts. I write poetry, short stories, scripts for comic books/graphic novels, television series, and films. Ofcourse films and television series stories I myself have imagined (sorry, ain't made it big yet, ya'll!!!). I also have many other hobbies. I'm here to find an outlet for expressing my stories and for networking with fellow writers. I embrace the love for a curvy, gorgeous black woman's body, and don't shun anyone's figure. I love my people and believe understanding ourselves, whether rich, or poor, is the key to a better tomorrow socially. Black people should put class aside and put individual merit first. Never judge based on stereotypes. I am into comic books, science fiction, jazz, positive/underground hip hop, electronica/techno/UK music/trip hop, old fashioned r&b/soul/neo-soul, carribbean music/reggae, world music, african music (especially that of West Africa, the home of our slave ancestors), black/african/african diaspora history and world history in general, and all the beauty and uniqueness of the world. I am also into horror, indie films, spoken word poetry, classical music, television shows, urban literature. I fully love all my black brothers, whether they be from the ghetto or living in the richest parts of Atlanta, I judge you on how kind and decent you are and show you respect if its given brothers and sisters. Keep the love coming!!! <333 In a time where it's becoming fashionable not to like being black, i am proud to be black. Proud to be a person of Black African descent, a descendent of one (or many) of the tribes of West Africa/Central Africa brought against their will to the New World. I love my Black European, black carribbean, Black-Latino, black arab, black indian, mixed black/native american and black canadian brothers and sisters. And even my white, creole, asian, middle eastern and other non- black buddies. Peace and love all!!! I would like to meet some very like-minded (not ignorant) afrocentric/creative friends on here!!! And many illustrators, writers and fellow poets. I am a huge fan of anime, gangster/crime movies (of any kind, of any country), noir fiction, videogames and youtube (minus the stupid comments). Please feel free to get at me. I'm here to see what other geniuses in the underated and, sadly, unnoticed black science fiction/speculative fiction realm i can run into and learn from. Much love to my poets, painters, lovers of the arts, and brilliant storytellers. One love, my Damu ('blood').
