About Me:

Lillian Walker Shelton is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While living in Philadelphia, she developed a desire to work with multicultural populations that have lower socioeconomic statuses. Lillian has traveled as a member of women’s delegations to Central America and the Caribbean. Her writing has strongly been influenced by the different people that she met along the way. She was also influenced by the work that she did as a Community Activist and Organizer in Washington, DC. The focus of her work was on fair wages, quality health care, and affordable housing. Lillian is currently a doctoral student at Marymount University in the Ed.D. Program for Counselor Education and Supervision. Her future goal is to start a community mental health clinic.
