About Me:
As a solo artist, Seven has performed at the Nuyorican Poetry Café, Bowery Poetry Café, Afrikan Poetry Theatre and has toured his work throughout the United States. His cinematic poemedy – A Poet’s Pilgrimage – about a young poet’s decision to abandon the law and pursue his dream of becoming a poet has been described as “transcendent”. Summer Hill Seven teaches courses on the roots of hip-hop theatre (e.g., Acting Black! and Being Black! - both of which were designed at the University of Delaware); acting; theatre appreciation and is frequently sought-after as a performer, director, guest-artist and inspirational speaker with engagements at schools, universities, regional theaters, civic groups, arts associations, and corporations around the country.
