About Me:
I am a native of Charlotte, NC. I spent a few years in the military and later graduated from UNCC with a BA in Art concentrating in fiber work. I also minored in Art History and Women Studies where I focused most of my studies on the art, culture and issues specific to those artists and women of the diaspora. I am a sci-fi enthusiast, and I just started collecting as many black comic books as I can get my hands on. My favorite author is Octavia Butler, however, Nalo Hopkinson runs a close second. I have a group called Soul of Cinema Movie Review where we support black filmmakers on all levels and want to foster an understanding within our community on the importance of supporting black film making and the art of film as it is another way to express our creativity. I am an artist so I am always in my imagination. And just as Octavia Butler wrote in her book Parable of the Sower, I plan to live among the stars.
