Biography
I live in the Chicago area. Chicago is one of the great cities of the world. If you have not been here, please make it your very next place to visit. This is my second real attempt at writing. I remember many years ago in college I took a creative writing course. I recall writing something that I thought was creative. The instructor did not think so! So much for my writing career.
Alternate histories, means infinite life possibilities for each one of us. Nothing about this life as we know it is written in stone. Believe it! We all take an infinite number of life paths depending on the choices that we make every single day, every single second! Just missing the traffic life presents a different path for us to take. We do not know it or feel it but your life has now changed. Now instead of being fourth in line to buy that lottery ticket you are now sixth in line. Guess what, the fourth person does not win but the sixth person does! You win one hundred million dollars. All because that red light stopped you from continuing on the path that you were on. On the other hand, perhaps you forgo going to buy a ticket altogether because that missed stop light has now made you late for work. Therefore, you pass on buying a ticket. You have now passed on buying the winning ticket! Do you see what I mean? Alternate histories, Infinite possibilities, infinite histories all of them having an equal chance of being your future. I would have you read Stephen Hawking's "The Grand Design". It is a fantastic book written by a brilliant man. He explains the Grand design of our Universe and our place in it. Please pay special attention to the chapter on "Alternate Histories". Nothing is preordained all histories are possible. I have a hardcopy version of this book in addition to the Kindle version. I refer back to them from time to time.
