Avid reader of all types of fiction. Started reading science fiction at about age 11; started with Ray Bradbury, Arthur C Clark, Ben Bova and those guys, all the time searching for an author who told SF stories that reflected my culture and POV. Stumbled onto Octavia Butler and voraciously read & re-read every thing she wrote. Currently in a reading desert & re-evaluating the definition of African-American science fiction. I am currently living in Utah with my husband, who is retired military & county air quality inspector. This is 2nd marriage for both of us and between the both of us, we have 9 children and 13 grandchildren.
