mother, lawyer, former activist, and writer since aged 11. I was a (political) performance poet, and published in anthologies etc. But not since the 90s. Have read SciFi and Fantasy on and off since childhood. Like the use of speculative fiction to examine current social trends/ problems. Concerned that there are not enough of us writing SciFi- do black people not see themselves around in 1000 years time? I've got 5 novels in various stages of development.
