In the Prologue, we are introduced to the world of the near future and the role of the Blade Hrushu Corporation. Episode One finds a lonely accountant Jeremiah Paris (Joseph Primes, Underdogs) who orders a simple lunch date with a Companion, artificial life-forms that serve as cures for an increasingly disconnected world. In walks a “Nina” model (Katrice Headd), a Companion with a complex past and a plan that takes Jeremiah on the ride of his life.
