"Bois! Bois! Bois!" - Arima, Trinidad- Kalinda (Calinda) Part martial art, song and dance, Stickfighting arose among enslaved Africans in the 18th century Caribbean. Over time it has been infused with other traditions (East Indian, etc.) and is best known for performances during festivals in Trinidad and the Grenadines, though it is also quite popular in Dominica, Haiti and elsewhere.
