Fellow animators I was talking to a professor recently about career goals. She mentioned that few of the indie animators whose films we review in class actually make their living just on the sales of their own work. They typically make their living as professors, traveling lectures or doing other things for income.

Are you folks aware of animators who are successful making their living doing indie work? How are they distributing their work? Are they sharing their tips for success?
