WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE NOVELSTORMS OF THE ORISHABy: Oloye Karade © 2009I would definitely recommend Storms of the Orisha to all lovers of fiction. Oloye Karade has spun a tale of love, suspense and religion with a slight touch of fantasy. The book was engaging from the first few pages right through to the end, never letting the reader get too comfortable with the storyline. Once you think you know what is going to happen next, the storm rolls in, and a new twist evolves. The various characters are so well developed that you can identify with each of their situations (good and/or bad) as if you knew them personally. For those familiar with the Orisha, you will definitely be pleased with the positive light and the "keeping it real" manner in which Mr. Karade handles the Yoruba traditions in the book. I'm hoping for a sequel. (Alexis Martinez)I just finished reading Storms of Orisha this morning. I enjoyed this novel. The storyline was so interesting that I did not want to put the book down. I knew that you were a good writer, but I did not know the degree until I read this novel. I hope that you have more stories to write about, because now you have a follower. Having the old destroyed in order to create the new was awesome. I also felt that the dementia angle was good in that it allows us (the readers) to decide what is real and what is fantasy. I enjoyed the allegorical anecdote where good and evil came to earth together, yet we can transcend them both. Wow!!! There's so much more.
