Good Morning BSFS Sisters and Allies,

Hi BSFS Sisters and Allies,

Hope you have a positive and uplifting day.  I would like to begin by saying Prayers and sending Positive Light to the millions affected by Hurricane Sandy.  I urge everyone to contribute to places and reputable websites that are requesting donations or items of need to people hit by this tragedy.

To continue my newbie discussion.  What do you do when you run against an 'action wall'.  I call it that because in a scene from my novel-in progress; my character is faced with a tense situation and I'm having a hard time making believable dialogue.

For example; my character Jean is held up inside her bar, she confronts the robber and pulls a shotgun from behind the bar.  At this point in the narrative; I don't want to sound like every stereotypical 'dirty Harriet' that I'm sure all of us have read at one time or the other.

What have you done to sound 'fresh'.  I am going to different places in Dallas; the West End; various bus and rail stations to get dialogue as it's happening.   Any feedback is welcome.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day,

Gayle
