The Afrofuturism listserv satisfied all of my intellectual desires to infuse the dynamic cultural offerings I so cherish with esoteric value and supernatural surreal significance. Ron Eglash's concept of fractals, cornrow braiding, african architecture and high mathematics. Discussion on the Matrix, the late Octavia Butler, Ishmael Reed, etc. Connecting with the whole Blacktronica scene in London. I recorded an Afrofuturism radio show with my mans Tahir Hemphill and Lex Lyric on Columbia U's radio station for the Art Attack Show back then. Big ups to my Afrofuturism homegirl Ingrid Lefleur.
