Claudia Grant hails from the english dubbed animé series Robotech. She was named Claudia LaSalle in the original Japanese Macross series.Based on Lietenant Uhura from Star Trek, Claudia is one of the first positive Black female characters, if not THE first positive Black female characters in animé. As the Lieutenant Commander of the SDF-1, she in third in command. Claudia has a laid back demeanor and a big sister vibe which earns her the respect of everyone on the bridge, and all of the central characters. To the casual observer it seems as though she's second in command. Her boyfriend is the infamous pilot Roy Fokker.In a live action I'd cast Gina Torres.
