Jah-Colored-Fin

I finally finished coloring Jahcera. She's a character that I really enjoy working on and I really loved bringing her to life. Mainly because unlike some heroes, she is highly resilient and bounced back from her past and became what she is now. Some heroes have dark origin stories, some have hellacious origin stories. Jahcera is one of those. The reasons for this life altering choice were unknown. All that was told to the Nuns at the church she left here was, "Please, protect her." as per the notes in the adoption packet. Jahcera was eventually adopted by a nice family when she was 7 however, the young girl was highly rebellious and wanted for her mother, with the thoughts of her mother leaving her, fresh on her mind. Eventually the family bought her back to the agency with the comments, "We can't keep her, she's not what we thought." Jahcera stayed a ward of the state until she turned 14 and during that time she became a straight "A" student, nationally known for gymnastics and an accomplished youth ballerina. She kept busy to keep the thoughts of her mother far from the forefronts of her mind and during her time at the agency counted on the help from a social worker named Deadra Watkins who looked out for her and ensured that she did what she needed to accomplish all that she wanted in life. On the day of Jahcera's 15th birthday, she was adopted by a wealthy family that lived Detroit. This adoption would move her from California and this made Deadra a little nervous. It didn't help that after meeting the family she felt that they had anterior motive in adopting Jahcera. She tried to fight the adoption however she was overruled and Jahcera was allowed to be adopted by the family. While living with the family she got anything that she wanted. Her foster mother supported her in her gymnastics and ballerina athletics and would motivate her on to try out for the US olympic team. Jahcera thought about it and eventually tried out and made the team. Her life took a dark turn however, once her foster father began to to things to her that he shouldn't have. Forcing himself upon her and well, your imagination can fill in the blanks. Jahcera attempted to tell her foster mother who she felt she had a connection with but, the woman did not listen to her and eventually began to treat her differently. Jahcera's foster father eventually got her pregnant and once her foster mother found out she poisoned Jahcera and caused her to lose the child. Jahcera was 17 at this time and ran away before graduating from High School. She couldn't take the torment anymore and eventually lived her life on the move, afraid of her foster parents or the police finding her. All she had to do was hold out until she was 18. She eventually ran into a man, once she made it to North Star City, that brought her in. This situation was no better as he ran a strip joint. He and Jahcera eventua
