Saw my Clarion roomates in New York over the holiday for a reading of queer SF at Bluestockings Bookstore. One of the benefits of atttending Clarion is that you make writing friendships that carry beyond the workshop itself. I lived with these two people in an apartment that produced some incredible fiction every week for 6 weeks. I wrote 7 short stories while I was there. The last story I wrote for Clarion, ("The Saltwater African"),is included in the upcoming "Bloodchildren" anthology. Nalo Hopkinson wrote the intro to the book edited by Nisi Shawl.
