"I'd go for the brass ring and want powers like Superman, Icon or The Sentry. Of course to protect and preserve humanity. Also to inspire youth to be better citizens and stewards of the Universe. Excuse me while I step down from this…"
My story that "Fury's" based on is called "The Cromwell: A Hip-Hop haunting," is going to be published very soon. I will keep everyone posted and I wish everyone to be immune to writer's block forever.
What you're saying has some validity, but let me play "Devil's Advocate" and just point out that Caucasian stars have also done the same. Milton Berle, Robin Williams (Mrs Doubtfire) Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. In Shakespearean times since women were basically property and theater was considered quite important the female roles were always played by men.
I can't even remember how many times "Curly" from the "Three Stooges" dressed as woman to fool someone looking for them.
Or Bugs Bunny during hunting season to fool Elmer Fudd.
Once again I would never have a man dress as woman in one of my stories or scripts because my ultimate goal is to empower and inspire our male youth.
Please use these facts as counterpoints in your blog. I think that it going to be very interesting and I look forward to hearing about your responses.
That avatar is a character from City of Heroes, a MMORG that I play in. He is black because I never saw anyone making black heroes, even in this fictional universe. He is called Dr. Photonix and I have written a short story or two about his adventures in Atlas City. I use him on the net because much of my work is in the Information Technology industry and there are almost no brothers involved in that industry in California. So online, there are very few pictures of me, enhancing my stealth profile.
Back from the Peachtree International Film Festival. 'Fury" didn't win anything but I made a lot of connections did a lot of networking so I hope something big happens soon. Met a lot of talented directors like Malcolm Lee, Jeff Byrd, Greg Anderson. and actors Rockmon Dunbar and Darrin Dewitt Henson from the movie "The Express," and Soul Food: The series. It's all about the networking Baby!

At a time when the indie Black Age of Comics movement is now nation wide with indie conventions in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, New York and San Francisco, a question emerges. Where do you find a dedicated spinning rack of indie produced / published Black Age products? Hmmmm? No where except Chicago at the Du Sable Museum and the urban internet cafe' Copy Cat. In each of the other markets listed, no rack. Not even where there is a Black owned comic book store. The internet alone will not reach the under served market.
This is a great opportunity & challenge foe legal honest industrious folks. To market and distribute the Black Age of Comics indie products.
OK..... you say were the regular stores contacted? Of course. ONLI STUDIOS even offered them spinning racks. They…

Life as alpha of a werewolf pack is anything but predictable. But even Parker Berenson is surprised by the latest twist: he’s fallen in love with a space alien. Problem is, he suspects Melera, his sexy new flame, might be the serial killer terrorizing Seattle. Or maybe she isn’t. After all, just because she’s an interstellar assassin doesn’t mean she’s guilty.
