I proudly serve as a NextGen TV Systems Engineer in the Sinclair Broadcast Group Research and Development Team. In this role, I actively contribute to the dynamic realm of innovation, construction, and seamless support for the burgeoning next-generation IP broadcast platform.
As a NextGen TV (ATSC 3.0) Research and Development team member, my responsibilities encompass an array of pivotal tasks. I ardently champion Sinclair's ATSC 3 and mobile service rollouts, meticulously oversee verification and validation testing of receivers, and play a crucial role in sculpting requirements and acceptance plans for both software and station equipment. Adeptly, I undertake the installation, configuration, testing, and upkeep of operating systems, application software, virtual machines, and management tools—ensuring the perpetual modernity of lab servers and broadcast air chains. My credentials include an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, notably with Ship RADAR Endorsement, and a series of patents centered around fiber connectivity and alarm systems.
Central to my mission is the strategic deployment of my technical insightand wisdom, propelling IP broadcast technology's evolution. By upholding this mission, I stand committed to enriching viewer and subscriber experiences by delivering premium content and services. Beyond this, my passion for education comes to the fore. I've nurtured an ardent dedication to crafting curricula encompassing cyber security, network design, cloud computing, and database development. My foray into academia as an Adjunct Professor of Cyber Security at the University of the Potomac since 2012 attests to this commitment. Simultaneously, I'm presently pursuing a Doctor of Computer Science degree, a testament to my unwavering pursuit of knowledge.
