Physics Database: The famous alpha Centauri system — one of our nearest neighbors in space — happens to be one of the best targets for exoplanet search. In this talk Michael Endl, a research scientist at the University of Texas, will review past and current planet search efforts that targeted the alpha Centauri system. In addition, he will focus on his team’s program, an intensive multi-year observing campaign carried out at Mt John University Observatory in New Zealand.
